Exciting opportunity to join The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s PCN

We are looking for GPs who want to join our friendly, enthusiastic and multi-disciplinary team.

We have a number of sessions available across our eight practices, so if you want the opportunity to contribute and build on our innovative work as well as help co-design and model new ways of working to enable the delivery of excellent healthcare, this role is for you.

We are able to offer a flexible approach to working e.g. on a part-time or full-time basis, as well as flexibility over working from different sites with the additional opportunity to potentially work from home.

Benefits to working with RWT

  • A dedicated home visiting service. GPs will rarely be required to undertake home visits (typically one every few weeks).
  • BMA model contract with CPD for all salaried GPs (pro rata).
  • Indemnity fees included.
  • 30 days minimum of annual leave per year (pro rota) and 30 days of professional/study leave in any period of three years (pro rata).
  • Financial allowance is available subject to approval.
  • Opportunity to become a medical student, FY2 or GP trainer. Majority of practices are training practices.
  • Support in pursuing wider specialist interests and development of a portfolio career if desired.
  • Protected time for practice meetings.
  • Monthly GP educational meetings to support professional development.
  • Dictation software for letters.
  • An expanding administrative team - Easy referral process and document filing by GPs is minimal.
  • No mandatory participation in extended access.
  • Mentoring available when needed.
  • Dedicated employee assistance programme (EAP) available 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing counselling and support to enhance staff wellbeing.
  • Further benefits - Discounts at local nurseries for childcare, discounts for employees at local swimming centres and West End show ticket discounts in London.
  • Salary sacrifice scheme - Buy new cars/bicycles and technology at discounted rates.
  • Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
  • Enrolment in NHS Pension scheme available.

Support for newly qualified GPs

  • A streamlined process to Tier 2 sponsorship facilitated by our dedicated HR team to support newly qualified international medical graduates.
  • We participate in the NHS England GP Fellowship scheme providing funded support for trainees in their first 12 months post qualification.
  • You will be provided with one-to-one mentoring from an experienced GP.
  • You will receive peer support and monthly educational sessions.
  • You will be supported in developing as a leader and embedding yourself within the PCN.
  • You will be provided with protected CPD time to pursue your learning needs.
