When you join the multidisciplinary team in our Out Of Hours service in Gloucestershire, you’re back in control.

 

As the largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group is delivering a newmodel of Integrated Urgent Care that reduces pressures on services and staff. By bringing together urgent care, clinical assessment and primary care services and , NHS 111 call centres, clinical assessment and other urgent care services, we enable patients to access the right care, when they need it. It’s better for everyone.

 

This is the perfect chance to use and develop all yours kills and expertise as a General Practitioner, providing diagnosis, treatment, advice and referrals to other healthcare resources, via primary care centres and home visits. You will also use our electronic prescribing system to effectively  manage the patient.

 

Based in our various Gloucestershire Out Of Hours (OOH) sites (Gloucester, Stroud, Cheltenham and Cirencester)services, you’ll be working autonomously within your sphere of competency as a lead clinician in a multi-skilled team that includes advanced nurse practitioners, registered nurses, UCPs, mental health and dental nurses, prescribing pharmacists and pharmacy advisors.

You’ll be able to keep your skills up to date with a CPD programme – and can expect education and training tailored to your needs and future plans. We work closely with the NHS to provide opportunities to learn, innovate and contribute new ideas. In addition to our bespoke Learning Management System, we offer discounted national update/clinical topic refreshers, support to become a supervisor/GP registrar trainer, plus a host of regional and national career development opportunities.

 

We are looking for people who are keen to gain a Salaried position within the life of OOH in Gloucestershire

About You

To be considered for this role, you need to:

  • Be on the GMC Register
  • Be on the GP Performers List with a valid CCT
  • Experience & confidence in managing acute and chronic presentations for both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.
