Job Details

Our clients Surgery is looking for an experienced General Practitioner to join the team, and provide professional and clinical care in order to ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all patients. They will work within the multi-disciplinary team at the practice, practicing high-quality, evidence-based medicine and will provide representation at regular site meetings in order to share best practice and provide peer support to others within our NHS Services.

The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic and forward thinking clinician who loves general practice and wants to provide the highest standards of care for all patients. The post holder will carry out all the duties expected from a primary care general practitioner complying with the standards required by the GMC and RCGP, in line with appropriate national and/or local guidelines and the companies values. This is a varied clinical role within the management of various patient groups.

  • Have sound knowledge of clinical governance

About the practice;

The Surgery is based in the heart of Wetherby in a modern health centre setting.
With a growing practice population currently around 4100 patients, they look to deliver the best patient outcomes and service, focused on promoting wellbeing, delivering planned personalised care, good patient continuity and access to the right care at the right time through innovation.

The Surgery is located in Wetherby. There is ample free parking and also separate free staff parking on site and within the town centre for transport and shopping.

The practice population is markedly different to most general practices. Their patient demographics are 19% age 0-21 age group, 24% age 21-40, 25% age 41-60 and 21% aged 61+.
Working hard on quality care for their patients they also work hard on caring for staff, developing skills and working closely as a team locally and within the PCN.

They have just one care home where they provide weekly ‘ward rounds’ by the GP and supported by the wider clinical team.  Home visits are shared and infrequent.  They deliver a large number of appointments via the telephone or video call.  They have an excellent clinical lead who supports the team and have daily and weekly meetings to keep all staff up to date with new information, safeguarding, MHRA notices, SER’s and importantly the frequent compliments from patients and other service users.
