Make a difference from day one!
As a Regional Medical Lead for the west midlands within Health in Justice, you will provide dynamic leadership of the medical profession across the west midlands cluster of Practice Plus Group’s Health in Justice services. Within this, you’ll be pivotal in engaging the medical workforce to support the delivery of the organisation’s objectives, thus ensuring the provision of an effective high quality medical workforce within the available resources.

What will you be doing?
You will support the National Medical Director and HiJ Service Director and their deputies in shaping the policies and strategies for developing and modernising medical practice throughout the service line, in order to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate healthcare services for patients. You will represent west midlands the service line with external organisations and networks and will be required to maintain clinical practice within one of the prisons in the cluster to maintain clinical skills and clinical credibility.
We recognise training and development is key, therefore we provide a training portal to facilitate your needs as well as have an in-depth induction for all staff whether you have experience of working in prisons or not. You will be able to broaden your experience within Mental Health and Substance Misuse, as well as access to a variety of training opportunities with the opportunity to work towards other qualifications should you wish.
We offer a competitive annual salary plus payment of MDU/MPS subscription and CPD days. This role is a part time opportunity, working 12 hours a week. If you are looking for portfolio work or cross site working, we can offer this on a temporary or permanent basis with the opportunities of extra shifts and overtime also.
