Job Details

First and foremost, let us paint you a hypothetical picture…

You’ve reached a cross-roads in this thing that we call life, whether that be due to completing your medical training, looking to take that next step on the career ladder, or simply thinking about a fresh start to enhance your quality of life. You could be flying solo, have a partner, children, pet(s), or a combination. You’re thinking city dwelling, countryside, and coast, so you can enjoy all three without having to compromise. You love indoors, outdoors, guided tours, or even a smattering of dance floors. Well, luckily for you we have a solution…

Have you thought about living in a place that is renowned for its laid-back vibe, untouched countryside, coastal beauty, and not to mention a city that offers a criss-cross of cobbled roads, browsable streets and magical mews…that place is Cornwall, or ‘Kernow’ as it is fondly known across the county.

Ever heard someone coin the phrase ‘Life’s a beach’, well its exactly that when you live, work, and socialise in Cornwall. With a coastline measuring 433 miles, featuring more than 300 beaches, the opportunity to surf is never too far away from your home turf. If wet and wild isn’t your thing, you can still make the most of exploring the coastline with walks, bike rides or even horserides. The picturesque surroundings that make up Cornwall will always leave you wanting for more.

Here at Kernow Health CIC we recognise that upping sticks is life changing, however we love nothing more than supporting people to ride that wave. We have relocation grants attached to several roles across Cornwall, so you don’t have to bear the full financial burden associated with moving if that is one concern that springs to mind. We have a dedicated team who can provide you with the inside track when it comes to desirable places to live and work, information regarding schools, building networks/friends, or even pursuing new hobbies – you name it, we have got someone who can help.

We also offer an Introduction to Cornwall scheme whereby you plan a getaway in our sunny county and work at one of our practices during your stay, the benefit being a contribution towards your holiday cost. You can soak up the Cornish landscape and get a flavour of what life could be like, so it really is a case of try before you lie on that Cornish beach.

You’ll have the finance to enjoy Kynance, time to write a journal in Porthcurno, and a Newquay to open the door to coastal living.

Sounds fantastic, right? Well, consider this…

  1. Trust the next chapter because you are the author
  2. If you don’t step forward, you will always be in the same place
  3. We only regret the chances we didn’t take

Currently, we have several vacancies to meet an eclectic mix of individual needs, so it doesn’t matter whether you are newly qualified or a seasoned practitioner, we’ve got something for everyone.

Still feeling like a fish out of water, you can get in touch with Ian Bailey on 07881255296 or via email - ian.bailey8@nhs.net for a friendly chat about all things Kernow and the abundance of exciting opportunities we have available.
