We’re hosting an open day for healthcare professionals at HMP Wealstun on Wednesday 20th July from 9 am to 12.30pm.

We are welcoming Registered Nurses (RMN/RGN), Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Pharmacy Technicians to come and meet our healthcare teams, learn about how Practice Plus Group works, career and development opportunities we can offer you.

Location: HMP Wealstun, Thorp Arch, Wetherby LS23 7AZ

The session will give anyone who may be interested in prison healthcare the opportunity to speak with staff and management who work in these environments, an insight to primary care; Q&A sessions with our Healthcare management, and a possibility of a tour of the prison!

During the session you will be speaking with staff about the benefits that Practice Plus Group offers including possibility of full-time, part-time, bank roles; salary and benefits and training opportunities. As well as learning more about the innovative healthcare solutions we provide within our prison healthcare sites.

To attend this event, we ask that you provide a CV on the details provided to secure your place. Please note, we do ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early to register your attendance and help yourself to tea and coffee before the talks begin.

HMP Wealstun is a Category C men's prison, located near the village of Thorp Arch in West Yorkshire. Which is based 30 minute from Leeds, and 5 minutes from the A1 just off Boston Spa. Working shift patterns cover a variety of hours between 7am – 7:30pm. The site currently has departments for Mental Health, Substance misuse, Primary care and admin. Training and support is offered for all staff, there is also and onsite gym accessible and free to staff as well as free parking on site.
