Bordering Plymouth, North and East Cornwall offers a mix of beaches such as Bude and Port Isaac, market towns in Launceston and Callington, coastal harbours in Fowey, Looe, and Padstow, and rural landscape in Bodmin Moor and the Camel Estuary, North and East offers something for everyone.
What our practices with Transition posts can offer you if you are looking for your first post CCT job:
- Gradual introduction to holding a patient list and opportunity for extended time slots during your transition year into practice
- A named GP in practice mentor with dedicated time to support you
- Join our next New to Practice programme, offering a range of regional and local education, training peer support and mentoring, for salaried or partner roles.
- Relocation package available for some practices of up to £10,000 to assist you in your move.
- Opportunities for fellowships in leadership, research, clinical specialist interest.
- Many practices will be happy to agree flexible working
- Access to subsidised CPD opportunities and a range of other training courses through Cornwall Training Hub
- A central, online Locum GP bank, advertising shifts available across various practices across the county
North and East ICA covers 5 primary care networks (PCNs) in Coast and Country, East Cornwall, Launceston and Tamar Valley, North Cornwall, and Three Harbours and Bosvena. It provides services to a total patient population of approximately 186,500, ranging from East Cornwall PCN, the largest in Cornwall, to smaller practices with around 20,000. We have current vacancies in Liskeard, Saltash, Tamar Valley and Launceston.
