Prison GP’s - Salary £95,000 - £97,000 pa
GPs are required to support our prison healthcare teams across the North East region. This includes HMP Northumberland, HMP Frankland, HMP Durham, HMP Low Newton, HMP Holme House and HMP Kirklevington Grange.
These are substantive posts and will attract all of the benefits of NHS employment including NHS pension and time served enhancements.
You will be passionate about primary care and support a team of highly skilled and dedicated primary care clinicians. There will be a range of opportunities across the Secure Environment that will allow candidates to map their areas of special interest
ie: women’s health, mental health and end of life care.
Previous experience working within secure environments, whilst desirable is not essential, as full induction and training will be provided. More critical to these posts are the alignment of values to those in the organisation and personal and professional attributes. The post holder must demonstrate compassionate leadership for the delivery of clinically effective community care and a desire to innovate and support new ways of working as part of a transformative integrated provider.
In addition, there is access to specialist research and educational supervision opportunities through our Research Directorate and medical education departments
