We have an opportunity for a Lead General Practitioner to work with us at HMP Stafford on a permanent basis working 24 hours per week (6 sessions).
HM Prison Stafford is a Category C men's prison, located in Stafford.

About the Job:
As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, the Lead General Practitioner will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. You will also provide a highly specialist resource to other general practitioners, healthcare staff, patients and carers and have active involvement in clinical governance/effectiveness activities.
It doesn’t end there; you will become actively involved in audit, teaching and training (management of substance misuse and/or blood borne viruses) as well as helping us to adapt the service to the ever-changing needs of the patients.
The Job Requirements
MBChB or MBBS qualified, you’ll be registered with the GMC and on a PCT Medical Performers List. RCGP1 part 1 is desirable.

This permanent salaried post working 24 hours per week at £110,000 per annum. (pro rata)
