Would you like to join our team of Emergency Nurse Practitioners at Corby Urgent Care Centre? Due to exciting developments, we are expanding our existing team!

Corby Urgent Care Centre offers a high standard of unscheduled care from early morning to late evening for patients attending with a wide variety of undifferentiated conditions. The centre is staffed primarily by our team of experienced Urgent Care Clinicians with additional support from other clinical and non-clinical members of staff.

This is an opportunity to provide care that will really make a difference, by working within caring, compassionate teams who truly put the patients at the forefront of everything they do.

We are looking for enthusiastic, patient focused Practitioners who are comfortable working automatously when making decisions relating to patient care. You will ideally have experience within a primary care setting and your high standards of patient care will naturally inspire those you work with.

The role

Reporting into the Clinical Service Manager, as ENP you will use specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare independently to patients (adults and children) attending the Urgent Care Centre (UCC).

You will be accountable for the total episode of care within the UCC; for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed needs. You will work autonomously within agreed guidelines for minor injury and illness to assess, diagnose and plan care for a case load of patients.

You will act as a role model in delivering high quality patient care and promoting clinical effectiveness. You will deliver assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment, diagnosis, prescribing (desirable - where appropriate), health promotion and safe discharge of patients.

You will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational/strategic development of the service. You will promote and facilitate evidence based practice and participate in clinical audit.
