Advanced Clinical/Nurse Practitioner, Leeds

Shakespeare Walk-In Centre offers a high standard of unscheduled care from early morning to late evening for patients attending with a wide variety of undifferentiated conditions. The centre is staffed primarily by our team of experienced nurse and clinical practitioners with additional support from other clinical and non-clinical members of staff.

We are looking for enthusiastic, patient focused Advanced Clinical or Nurse Practitioners who are comfortable working autonomously when making decisions relating to patient care. You will ideally have experience within an urgent care setting and your high standards of patient care will naturally inspire those you work with.
You'll benefit from regular clinical meetings, support to develop special interests, ongoing training and development and flexibility on working patterns.
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner / Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ACP/ANP), you will use your specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare, independently, to patients (adults and children) attending the Centre.
You will be accountable for the total episode of care within the Centre; for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed needs.
You will act as a role model, delivering advanced practice and promoting clinical effectiveness in care. You will be required to work autonomously in delivering independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment, diagnosis, prescribing, health promotion and safe discharge of patients.
You will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational/strategic development of the service.
You will have the opportunity to promote and facilitate evidence based practice and clinical audit and research within the service.
Our ACP/ANPs work as an autonomous practitioners within the Centre, delivering all aspects of management and care to a wide range of patients with varying needs. The role will work in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and medical treatment to all Centre patients.
You will be either be an individual with a recognised Masters degree qualification in Advanced Practice or be studying towards one (trainees must have completed the clinical assessment and prescribing module as a minimum. In addition you must have arrangements in place for funding for the remainder of your training programme.).
