Locum GP - Manchester (Prisons)
We supply General Practitioners who provide healthcare services to offenders across the country.
To ensure the continued quality of care at HMP, we’re looking for a GP to support us and the existing team to cover as many hours of work per week as possible, but we are flexible.
We have plenty of work for GP's wanting to work in Prisons. 'I know it sounds daunting, but it really isn't', says one of our GP's. We have sessions all sorts of timings, and we can be flexible, however one particular regular session we have is 8:00 – 13:00 Tuesday to Sunday, and we can pay great rates of pay. Furthermore, we will help with security clearance and you can work while you are completing RCGP 1. We are looking for someone to start ASAP.
Our client would like you to have a RCGP qualification in substance misuse part 1 part 2, however if you do not have it don't worry speak to us and we can see what we can do to support you.
A Locum GP without prison experience would also be welcome, many prisons operate regular GP Surgeries for the prison population separate from substance misuse clinics. An Informal meeting can be arranged if you wish to learn more of the services you are required to conduct within the prison. All GP's are required to visit the prison for security checks before the session(s) can start.
