This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled nurse to step into a broader role with the aim of achieving consistent high-quality patient care. Through clear and proactive communication, coaching and mentoring you will ensure the organisation develops a culture which reflects quality and Clinical Governance. This would be an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse or Advanced Nurse Practitioner who wants to step away from daily clinics and work in a functional management role.

Your role:

  • Contribute to the delivery of the Organisational Quality, Safety and Governance vision and strategy
  • Drive and embed Governance and Safety and represent the Clinical Strategic team on all Clinical Governance plans and initiatives
  • Chair the Policy Group and represent organisational policy compliance to the Integrated Governance Board
  • Support and c- ordinate the SI and Incident processes and ensure that all identified actions are addressed
  • Responsible for ensuring all parties involved in the SI report process are supported, by providing coaching, mentoring and guidance and ensuring the final reports are accurate and complete ready for final sign off
  • Work closely with the Patient Experience team to ensure continuous improvement and learning from all forms of patient feedback including direct feedback, survey feedback and friends and family
  • To be part of the Clinical on Call rota
