'GPDQ’ aims to deliver doctors to doors within 60 minutes
From today, GPs across the UK can register their interest to join a new mobile app, GPDQ (GP Delivered Quickly) – designed to give GPs the flexibility of a virtual clinic, whilst delivering top-quality clinical care on-demand, at a location of the patient’s choice.
The GPDQ app will launch in central London this autumn, enabling patients to arrange a visit with a GP, at a convenient location for them.
The app’s co-founder, Dr Anshumen Bhagat has built a portfolio of private and NHS clinics in London during his 15 years’ experience in the healthcare industry.
Dr Bhagat comments on the launch of the new service:
“GPDQ provides another option for patients who want to see a doctor when it suits them – it really is that simple. It also enables all GPs in the UK to see patients on a private basis, work flexibly, and earn extra income in the process – they’re essentially running a virtual clinic through our state of the art mobile platform.
“After many years of working in general practice, I’ve had time to identify the issues and work out a sensible and effective solution using state of the art technology. It’s a great way for busy people who are time poor to access an affordable high quality service that can deliver a doctor to their office, or anywhere that is convenient for them.”
GPDQ is set to launch for patient use in central London (Zones 1-3) this autumn on iOS and android, the app will be rolled out to Greater London, followed by other major cities in the forthcoming months.
